I’ve acquired a new toy tool. It’s been fun playing with utilizing it for a new perspective on things. I’m shooting for a higher standard in hopes that my photos achieve new heights. I could tell you more about it but I would just be droning on.

It’s a DJI Mavic Air. It uses a little joystick controller that attaches to my smartphone. The smartphone displays the camera view and all the flight info (height, distance, map location, battery level, etc.) It’s quite an impressive package of technology crammed into a small form factor. Novice pilots like me can still easily crash it but it’s got enough smarts to at least give me a fighting chance while I climb the learning curve. On the other hand, an average 14-year-old would be doing aerobatics in no time.
