Progress on our home construction has been a little slow of late, due to scheduling issues mainly.  The environmental changes (i.e., weather) have been far more dramatic and promise to get more interesting shortly. A couple short weeks ago the view east from our site looked like this:

fall colors in valley looking east from our property

That was over all too quickly.  This morning, hours before Hurricane Sandy is about to roar through our area, the house looked like this:

fog envelopes our Newfield house hours before Hurricane Sandy hits the area

Time will tell how the hurricane winds and rains will affect our construction site.  Meanwhile, there are no guarantees that we’ll even have electricity over the next few days.
